Root Numbers and Human Nature

From times immemorial, humankind has always related various aspects of life with numbers and how they affect human nature. Also known as Core numbers or digital Root numbers, the nine root numbers relate to the nine human characteristics and also correspond to the cycles of development of a human being which has also nine stages.

There are about nine characteristics of a human being which is actually the archetypal characteristics. The value and meanings of a number can also be depicted by associating it with gems, stones or colors. The study of this number and its association with the other things in and around us is better known as numerology.

In numerology as we know today consists of the numbers 1 through nine. Some people also consider the numbers eleven and twenty-two as important too. However the prime numbers one generally works with in numerology are the numbers 1 through 9.

Zero

Starting from the zero, its existence is outside any vicious cycle. The addition of zero to any number increases its potential value, which means that the number gains some value. The zero has a frameless realm of its own. The zero does not contain any number. The zero brings a universal responsibility to the root number. Normally zero is ignored in numerology.

One

The pillar is the symbol for the number one. It is a phallic shape which poses masculine power striking on its own and always keen on discovering the new and original things. All other numbers have their existence between the numbers zero and one. The positive aspect of one is that the person is creative and has originality. The negative qualities of the number are that of dominating and bossy in nature. One is basically a mental number.

Two

The number two symbolizes relationship and harmony between two persons. The humble characteristic of this number can be seen at the symbol itself which depicts a person bowing down to some great power. It is the most gentle of all numbers and its positive qualities are co-operation, love and compassion. It is an intuitional number and its symbol is the shape of a spring which is flexible.

Three

The number three is an emotional number which symbolizes openness. Being the most playful number of all, it is also very imaginative, sensitive and expressive number. The people who posses this number characteristic are the life of every party and also the center of attraction for everyone. It relates to the social sphere of life.

Four

The number four as a human characteristic is a physical number which depicts stable and progressive nature of the person. It also represents restrictions and discipline. The negative qualities of the number four are laziness and intolerance.

Five

Five is also a physical number which represents independence and discipline. It is the most dynamic of all numbers. The only negative quality of this number is that the person has lack of experience.

Six

Six is again an emotional number that symbolizes love. It is therefore the most caring and sacrificing of all numbers. The positive qualities of this number are that they are committed, protective and nurturing. Being in harmony with all the other numbers, six is basically the fatherhood or motherhood number.

Remaining three numbers

Seven being an intuitional number is a seeker of truth. It depicts trust and openness. Eight is the mental number that balances the relation between heaven and earth. It symbolizes money and power. The negative qualities of the number eight are misuse of power. The symbol of number nine depicts the complete circle of love sent into this world. It symbolizes integrity and wisdom. It is the humanitarian number which also depicts compassion and sharing nature of a person.
